Project TALARIA

Veles Aerospace is a now an Aerospace Engineering Outsourcing company based in Riga, Latvia. We specialize in providing cutting-edge solutions for the aerospace industry, including the innovative Talaria In-Orbit Servicing System - our first customer in Latvia and abroad in general. This project is dedicated to the design of special docking terminal for in-orbit satellite servicing, such as docking, re-fueling, re-charging, diagnostics, altering the orbit and de-orbiting. This project is a joint venture between Riga Technical University (RTU), Veles Aerospace and other stakeholders.

Secret Service Aviation

Blue Canary Aircraft Project

In June, 2020 our team was invited by Mr. Andrii Gnashuk, the company owner, to assist him in building the Blue Canary aerobatic biplane.

Our team of 6 aviation enthusiasts got an amazing hands-on experience in aircraft elements prototyping from sketch to real item, often after 3-4 attempts.

We did sheet metal works, welding of aircraft frame, riveting, milling, turning and assembly of fuselage, wings and flight controls. Unfortunately, this project has been paused since 2022 due to situation in Ukraine. Hopefully, we will complete this aircraft one day.

Drones Projects

Besides working on Blue Canary, our team also assisted Mr. Andrii Gnashuk with his other projects - large dual-use UAVs. One was a flying wing dual-use prototype, the second was a normal aerodynamic scheme aircraft and the third was a similar prototype of an agricultural drone. Our team performed re-design, repairs and modifications of these drones after their testing.

Back in 2016, when our members were students of the National Aviation University, they took part in First All-Ukrainian UAV Design Contest.

With the guide of Prof. Yevhen Udartsev, our team managed to take 3rd place at the contest (and only 3rd because we did not have any prototypes that time).
